Morocco: the High Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert… an epic off road journey!

We went for this trip to test our very limits and those of our selected bikes for this journey, the Suzuki DRZ400E. It was the best bike for us for this trip, as it is not as heavy as all the big bikes out there but has more than enough power to go anywhere and everywhere. This resulted in going there were not a lot of other riders or people go…
It was our first all off road journey together and it demanded a lot of us. I am truly proud that Kim survived this epic trip even though she told me “never again”. We got bogged in the desert when it was 56°C, we had no more water, needed to get some from the Nomads we finally encountered in the middle of nowhere, Kim’s bike got overheated and we needed to do some emergency repairs when we finally found a mechanics garage, seems that they also do the Paris-Dakar repairs and there was even a Portuguese competition biker there who helped us out. 3 weeks in Morocco full of adrenaline, emotions, problems, heatstrokes but after all, a lot of fun!!!
